My Idols

Image
Many people have some idols that they inspired to be. And so do I. This time, I am going to tell you about my Idols:  1. George Harrison  He is George Harrison from The Beatles. I saw him on "Ticket To Ride" music video. George Harrison was an English musician, singer, songwriter, and member of the iconic band, The Beatles. He was born on February 25, 1943, in Liverpool, England. Harrison played a significant role in shaping the band's sound, contributing both musically and creatively to their success. Known as the "Quiet Beatle," George was not only a talented guitarist but also a prolific songwriter. He penned several classic Beatles songs, including "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Something," and "Here Comes the Sun." His songwriting style reflected his deep spirituality, introspection, and interest in Indian philosophy and culture. Despite his immense talent, Harrison remained humble and down-to-earth, earning the respect and ...

Digital Literacies and My Identities

My Opinion About Digital Literacies and My Identities   When I think about digital literacies, there's one think came across my mind: Privacy.  We know that digital world is such a benefit and powerful tools for all of us. We can get more information, more knowledge, and more updates about what's going on in the entire world.  But there are some threats from digital world that we must be aware of. Such as hacking, data trafficking, hate speech, cyber-bullying and so on. And because of that, we need digital literacies to prevent the threat that we might get from digital world.  Digital literacies for me, is knowing our position, action, and impact from the action we did in digital world. We can't just post our data on social media, right? Because it's a personal thing. If people know about it, maybe they can use our data for hacking and harm us.  Our actions in digital world are leaving digital footprint. Digital footprint can be dangerous if we just le...

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE EXPOSITION TEXT

Team 9's Exposition Text (The questions are available below the text) In this text, we will explain about global warming, what is global warming, and why is it essential to think about it? Global warming is a scientific term for increasing the average earth temperature caused by the trapping of radiation within the world’s atmosphere, similar to a greenhouse effect. This has been a natural process throughout the world’s history, but it has only recently become an issue due to anthropogenic increases in greenhouse gas emissions. Global warming is caused by the rapid heating of the earth’s atmosphere due to trapped energy. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane can build up in the atmosphere, causing solar radiation to become trapped within the planet, as in a greenhouse, thus the name. As a result of the trapping of this radiation, the temperature of the earth’s atmosphere rises over time, and the world grows warmer. Natural and artificial factors contribute to global ...

Reported Speech

What was the most memorable conversation you had yesterday? Who were you talking to and what did they say to you? Yesterday, I had a conversation with a 6-year-old beggar in a public transportation, called angkot. She was alone. Her name is Nana.  Me: "Hi, why are you wandering alone?"  Nana: "I'm a beggar. I'm going to Terminal Cicaheum."  Me: "I see, you are going to play some music there?"  Nana: "Yes, I make money with that way."  Me: "In your young age, do you go to school?"  Nana: "No, I don't have any money. I don't even have family. But still, I have to fight and survive in this life."  Me: "I know that you're such a brave little girl. Wishing you lots of happiness in your life. Good luck, Nana."  And she stopped at the Cicaheum's stop signal. I learned a lot about life from her.
