Digital Literacies and My Identities
My Opinion About Digital Literacies and My Identities
When I think about digital literacies, there's one think came across my mind: Privacy.
We know that digital world is such a benefit and powerful tools for all of us. We can get more information, more knowledge, and more updates about what's going on in the entire world.
But there are some threats from digital world that we must be aware of. Such as hacking, data trafficking, hate speech, cyber-bullying and so on. And because of that, we need digital literacies to prevent the threat that we might get from digital world.
Digital literacies for me, is knowing our position, action, and impact from the action we did in digital world. We can't just post our data on social media, right? Because it's a personal thing. If people know about it, maybe they can use our data for hacking and harm us.
Our actions in digital world are leaving digital footprint. Digital footprint can be dangerous if we just leave and other people can make benefit from it. So, these are 6 tips for taking care our digital footprint:
1. Don't forget to log off when we leave a website.
2. Don't tell anyone your passwords
3. Tell an adult if you find a content that harm you.
4. You can use the history button to mark your favorite website.
5. Use a nickname you created or a picture that's not real if you want to post comment online.
6. Protect your identity online.
